Keira Knightley
Knightley was born in London, the daughter of Will Knightley and Sharman Mcdonald. She obtained her first agent at the age of six years old. Then she began to work in television and commercials. There was a brief role as Sabe in the science fiction film Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (1999). Her big break came as a tomboy footballer in the film Bend It Like Beckham (2002) The film then went on to gain global stardom for playing Elizabeth Swann in the swashbuckler Fantasy series Pirates of the Caribbean, which began in 2003. In 2003, she was a star on the show Love Actually, a romance Love Actually and was called a promising young woman. Knightley received an Academy Award nod for Best Actress in 2005 for portraying Elizabeth Bennet, the heroine in the classic romance Pride & Prejudice. Alongside Atonement the film, she also appeared in the role of Georgiana Cavendish who was the popular tastemaker of The Duchess and Anna Karenina's main socialite. She also branched out into modern dramatics. Begin Again, (2013) featured her as an aspirant singer, and Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit, (2014) saw her as a medical student. Knightley made a return to historic dramas in the role of Joan Clarke, in The Imitation Game that resulted in an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. In addition, she was a part of Colette and played the character of the writer.
