Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shevchenko, a Kyrgyzstani Muaythai fighter from Peru as well as a mixed martial arts athlete competing for UFC. UFC in the Flyweight Division is currently a Kyrgyzstani. She is the elder sister of her fellow UFC fighter and ex- UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko's career in combat sports started as a Muay Thai competitor. Antonina's last fight was in the Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. The victory was achieved by an unanimous decision. Antonina Schevchenko started the professional phase of her MMA profession in the year 2002, with the victory over Anara Baanova in the KFK Championships of Kyrgystan. Shevchenko was victorious in the unanimous decision, but was defeated in her next fight by Roxanne Modafferi in a split decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from the loss, defeating Lucie Pudilova at UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler by a rear-naked choke submission. She was awarded the bonus of a fight-of-the night.
